- Account details such as name, email address, and password (stored securely hashed).
- Order and shipping information including address, phone number, and payment references processed via Razorpay.
- Usage data such as pages visited, cart activity, and search queries to improve our store experience.
- Optional wallet and gift card redemption history linked to your account.
How we use your information
- To process orders, deliver products, and provide customer support.
- To send transactional emails (order confirmations, password resets, welcome gifts).
- To personalise recommendations and improve our AI-powered search when enabled.
- To prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with applicable law.
Sharing & third parties
- Payment processing: Razorpay (India). We do not store full card details on our servers.
- Authentication: Google OAuth when you choose to sign in with Google.
- Infrastructure: MongoDB Atlas (database), Cloudinary (product images), SMTP provider (email).
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Data retention & security
- We retain account and order data as long as your account is active or as required for tax and legal compliance.
- Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Sessions are secured via NextAuth.
- You may request account deletion by emailing hello@nichestore.com.
Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting us.
- Opt out of marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in any promotional message.
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated.
